§ About us
An editorial team for the UK casino market — not an operator.
Casino Compendium exists to make the UK online casino landscape easier to read. We don't run games or hold money; we publish a comparison of regulated operators and explain what's behind each ranking in language that holds up after the headline.
What we do
We publish reviews, league tables and short guides on UK-licensed casinos with a deliberate focus on the post-signup experience: cashier reliability, payment methods, support quality, mobile performance, terms readability, the live casino product, and the safer-gambling controls each operator surfaces. The market changes quickly, so the same brand can move between editions.
How we work
Each entry is checked against the public Gambling Commission register, then reviewed by an editor against our published criteria (laid out on the home page). We rely on the operator's own published terms and on what the cashier journey actually does in practice. We try not to depend on a single signal: a strong promotion does not lift a poor cashier, and vice versa.
Where the money comes from
The site is supported by referral arrangements with some — not all — of the operators we cover. If you click an outbound link and open an account, the operator may pay us a fixed fee or a share of revenue, at no extra cost to you. That commercial relationship can affect which casinos we cover and where they appear, but it does not buy a positive review. Our long-form policy is on the Advertiser Disclosure page.
What we don't do
We don't accept deposits, settle wagers or process withdrawals. We don't host games or take responsibility for an operator's actions. If you have a dispute with an operator, the right path is the operator's complaints procedure first, then the relevant alternative dispute-resolution provider listed in their terms.
On responsible gambling
Gambling is entertainment, not income. Set a budget before you play and stick to it; use deposit and time limits; treat the safer-gambling page on your operator's site as a feature, not a footnote. Free, confidential support is available through national UK helplines and self-exclusion schemes — see our Responsible Gaming Policy for the routes we recommend.
